- Child therapy for elementary through high school age students & young adults
- Professional therapy is an ideal environment for children to overcome trauma
- Emily’s specialized training includes transition age and autism spectrum disorders
Childhood and adolescence is a time of growth and change, and young people are not always equipped to handle the stresses of life. Or they may have been exposed to traumas beyond their capacity to cope. Emily has been providing child therapy to children and adolescents for over 10 years in Fargo and our surrounding community. She has been trained to work with children who have experienced trauma or abuse in order to help them overcome the aftermath of such events with confidence, integrity and peace.
Emily has also received specialized training in working with adolescents in transition who are preparing for adulthood—a particularly challenging stage in life for both teens and their parents. Emily also has experience working with children who have autism spectrum disorders. Depending on the age of the child and the issue at hand, parents may also be involved in sessions or for “check-ins” at the beginning of the session.
